Hello Team,

 

• There is a 500 yard freestyle meet on February 9^th in which 12 swimmers per team in our league will compete.  Swimmers ages 11 to 18 are eligible to compete in this meet.  Any swimmers 11 to 18 years old interested in this competition will need to attend a 500 yard time trial on Saturday January 30^th 3:00 PM at the Blue Hills pool. 

 

• Will post the names of the 12 swimmers that qualify for this meet on the website Sunday afternoon and we’ll announce the names during Tuesday’s practice.

 

• The new team t-shirts are available during practice, the cost is $12.00.  Show your team spirit, wear them to the meet.

 

• Team caps and bathing suits are mandatory for the meets.  If you don’t have these and need them for this weekend’s meet please email me an order and I’ll have them at Saturday’s practice for you to pick up.

 

• Don’t forget that we have a meet this Sunday in Cambridge at 9:00.  Warm-ups begin at 9:00, the meet begins at 9:30.  Directions to the Cambridge pool are on the website.

 

• Championship forms and end of the season party forms were passed out during last week’s practices.  If you did not receive the forms they too are available on the website.

 

• We need everyone to participate in the meets to win and everyone should be entering all stroke events for their age group.  Let’s not have a repeat of the meet against Sharon, we lost by 18 points due to lack of participation – not talent.  Those that competed did a fantastic job!
