The Dave Keeman Memorial Scholarship has been made possible through the generous contributions of friends, family, coworkers, and members of the swim team. Coach Cavanaugh and the Walpole Swim Team held a fundraiser on Saturday, July 29, 2006. This fundraiser benefited the Dave Keeman Scholarship Fund. Dave, who passed away in the January of 2006, was a big supporter of the swim team and our starter for several years. Both of his daughters swam on the team and his wife often helped as a timer and stroke judge. The kids swam laps to raise money for this high school scholarship fund. Coach Cavanaugh thanks the community for continuing to help support this fund and making it a perpetual scholarship just as the Vlahos, Parlon, & Travers scholarship are. We accomplished this by raising in excess of $10,000.00. To make a donation, or for questions about the scholarship, contact the Walpole Scholarship Foundation, 3 West Street in Walpole.
