Who We Are
Walpole Swim Team is a long standing and very
successful program. Coach Cheryl Cavanaugh, formally Cheryl Mealey, has
headed up the team since 1974. The summer program is based in the
Walpole Center pool and winter at the Blue Hills Regional School in Canton.
Our program is an age group team participating in the
Summer Suburban & Winter Suburban Leagues. Boys and girls between the ages
of 3 & 18yrs who can follow directions and put their face in the water are
eligible to join.
Swimming is the only sport that teaches you survival
skills that you will take with you the rest of your life. All the coaches take
pride in teaching non-swimmers and watching them develop into swimmers. But we
also want to build character, self-esteem, sportsmanship, determination,
camaraderie and ever lasting friendships.
